I think that one of the world's greatest tragedies is that so many "christians" ignore what Jesus taught and instead just worship him as a god, allowing his example to be seen as unachievable by mortals.
Children don't fully understand consequences or effects, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be held responsible when they do something that is wrong.
He could have stated it much better, but i trust that he didn't mean to say that ALL religious people are bigoted hypocrites. After all, he said that he "tried" Christianity, meaning he probably has some religious people in his life. He certainly has a point that SOME are, though. Religion has done some great things for a lot of people, but a small number of people twist religion into something terrible (e.g. KKK and Al Qaeda).
I also took his comments about prayer t...
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. They SHOULD be comparing it to 360 data from TWELVE months ago instead. You know, because the 360 came out a year earlier, so has had an extra year to sell more titles. This data that you complain about actually favors the XBox 360 by four months.
Funny how you say they are "distinct" and shouldn't be compared, then your very next sentence says Halo is fast and Killzone 2 is "clunky." Not only did you compare them, but you made a subjective judgement about one being better, which seems to be what your title was against.
Morituri is right.
Mario games sell better than platformers on other consoles because half the reason people buy Nintendo consoles it to play the almost-always-excellent Mario games. Halo (and now Gears of War) is the same for XBox. For better or worse, Sony doesn't have any one "defining" IP or genre so it doesn't have any one title that sells to almost all Playstation owners.
Also, most people don't have the luxury of choosing between these two games. ...
I was at the grocery store the other day when i saw two guys standing in the olive aisle. The first guy was saying "Green olives sell better than black olives, so if you like black olives better, you are clearly just a blind fanboy who refuses to admit that green olives are better." The second guy said "Green olives are just overhyped, and a lot of stupid people follow the hype. Us black olive fans are the ones who can see REAL quality."
I just walked out o...
Natal will certainly be great for casual, and i predict we'll see an "EA Sports Active" type title for it, but it will have some uses in "hardcore" games, too. I see it eventually settling into a role in core games similar to the sixaxis, games will mostly have traditional controls with a few Natal features here and there where it will fit in nicely. Think of things like the crank turning spots in Killzone 2, or perhaps for things like the hacking mini-game from Bioshock...
Talk about "spreading misinformation."
The link you put there is for the Eyetoy. As in the PS2 Eyetoy. I'm sure it was a simple mistake, but the link you should have put up is this one for the "Playstation Eye":

A person not paying attention would think Sony's Eye is far inferior if they looked at the link you posted.
Admittedly, the P...
Settle down cowboy, i was pretty much agreeing with you. Sony actually COULD stop Microsoft from doing it though, because they could refuse to license the technology to them. Would Sony be able to use Natal's z-camera technology without Microsoft's permission?
That patent would probably just keep Natal from tracking the object itself. It would still be allowed to track the person holding the object.
We don't really know that. Natal may be programmed to look specifically for human shaped objects. It could still track you holding the controller, or anything else.
Sony did patent the use of everyday objects as "motion controllers," but Natal can still use the player, not the object. Sony can't stop people from holding something just for the tactile feedback, they can just stop Microsoft from making Natal track other objects.
The PSEye does lack the capability to do 3D tracking as well as Natal does. It can do everything else Natal does, though, and with the addition of the "wands" it arguably does 3D tracking better than Natal. On the other hand, it still cannot do full body 3D tracking.
I think that Natal will be better for anything that goes completely controller free (and opens up a lot of possibilities because of that), but PSMC is better overall. I am excited at the possibilities of...
Actually, you're the one that's in an article about how both versions will run at the same framerate, claiming that one version is inferior. Even claiming that "Hertz isn't the same as fps."
Edit @ below: I really don't see how you can take that from this article. I'm out of bubbles now, though, so you have a good day and i will leave it to others to refute your claims.
coolirisGB: Boy, you sure called me out. 3 discs instead of 4. Doesn't negate what i was saying. True, i don't know if MS made concessions, i said it was a guess. Fact is the game is now on more discs and that should solve the issue that was mentioned. I was actually saying that the issue that might have made the 360 version look "worse" has probably been fixed. The reason i brought it up was as a counter-point to what you brought up. Don't mention one game that supports you...
FPS and Hertz are just two different ways of saying it. When i watch a Blu-ray on my TV, the TV tells me "24 Hz" not "24 fps." Does that mean i should doubt that Warner Brothers actually filmed "The Dark Knight" at 24 frames per second? *Gasp* Maybe it's only filmed in 12 fps and they are just showing each frame twice!
You are sounding a bit conspiratorial. Like the "birthers" who refuse to believe that Obama was born in the US, even th...
I just reread both of our comments and wanted to clarify something. The PS3 version having higher res textures was an "at that point" type of thing, i'm sure they will both be equal at launch. I didn't mean to imply that the PS3 version is better, and i apologize that i may have come across that way.
Bringing up Ghostbusters to prove your point, though? How about Prototype? PS3 version of Prototype had one or two extra graphical effects that the 360 version didn't h...
Okay, i'll give you that it may, technically, be a duplicate, but that other article had an inflammatory headline that lead people to believe something other than what this article reveals to be the truth. Do you want this article removed because it's a duplicate, or because it might give people the REAL information?
They certainly know a lot more about game development than I do, so I, for one, will trust them on this.
You said "Being a gay is a choice and that choice is an abomination."
Just like eating shellfish, right? You know, because while the Bible does say in Leviticus that it is an abomination for "a man to lie with a man as he would with a woman" it says TWICE that it is an abomination to eat shellfish. Have you ever eaten shrimp or crab or lobster?
